The single best day out on the island, and the thing guests thank us for most. Morning cruises are the fuller experience; sunset sails are quieter and shorter.
Our first pick
A five-hour morning sail down the west coast with snacks, an open bar, a proper lunch buffet, and snorkel stops for turtles and reef fish. Smaller and better run than most — this is the one we book for our own guests.
Book direct at least a few days ahead in season; morning departures fill first.
Larger boats, lively crowd
A bigger operation with a fleet of catamarans and a livelier atmosphere. Good if you're a larger group or you want a party rather than a quiet sail.
The long-running favourite
One of the originals, still doing it well. Turtle and shipwreck snorkel stops, lunch aboard, and a crew that has done this ten thousand times.
Two hours, drinks in hand
Most operators run a shorter evening sail — drinks, canapés, and the west coast turning gold. No snorkelling, no swimming, far less activity. Right for an easy first or last night; the morning cruise is the one to book if you only do one.
A real submarine, down to the reef
A genuine submarine dive along the reef and a wreck, with commentary — no swimming required, which makes it the rare marine day that works for every age and every level of mobility.
Turtles and shipwrecks, close to shore
Several operators run short trips into Carlisle Bay where six wrecks sit in shallow, clear water and turtles feed most mornings. A half-day alternative if a full cruise is more than you want.
