An island of contrasts

The west coast is calm, turquoise, sleek and developed — long stretches of white sand, beach bars, and the slow lap of the Caribbean Sea contrasting with larger tourist infrastructure, nightclubs, and imported tastes. The east, where Eden's Breeze sits, is wilder and still steeped in tradition: Atlantic surf, cliffs, original heritage, the cooling constant breezes, though increasingly with a new and cautious approach to showcasing Barbados whilst maintaining old charm.

The island is small enough to drive across in an hour, and every parish has its own style of offerings, and its own pace.
